Work stress makes Katrina unwell again!

Success doesn’t come easy. Katrina Kaif is working hard for it but at the expense of her health. She was quite unwell lately and when she got herself checked recently at a suburban hospital to discover a low haemoglobin count. But poor health doesnt keepKatrina from keeping her professional and personal committments.

A source reported, “On Sunday Katrina woke up unable to get out of bed. The worst blow to her frail energy level was the hectic wedding of Salman Khan’s close family-friend Krishan Narayan’s daughter whichKatrina attended for two consecutive nights on Friday and Saturday for the sangeet and wedding.

Forgetting her delicate health, Katrina had simply let herself go, dancing and having a good time.

A friend explained, “It was a commitment she couldn’t wriggle out of. The bride’s father, an associate of politician Praful Patel, is a very close friend of Salman Khan. AndKatrina who has always looked at Salman’s friends as her own, had to be there.”

The result of two consecutive nights of merry-making was a relapse. On Sunday Katrina had to undergo a series of complicated medical tests that went on the whole day

The friend continued, “Katrina’s haemoglobin count continues to plummet. The doctors are perplexed by this. They can’t figure out what is causing this abnormality in her blood. She has been prescribed complete bed rest.”

Poor Katrina… Perhaps Sallu Miyan should take a proactive step and take her off for a rejuvenating holiday!

Katrina Kaif’s barbie doll comes to India

Katrina Kaif’s barbie doll has come to India and will be launched on Barbie’s 50th year.Katrina walked the ramp as a Barbie for a special Barbie show as the Lakme Fashion Week held few months back.

Katrina talking about her doll says, “I’ve been a part of the entire process of doll making and it’s been quite fascinating. Since, I’ve been travelling out of Mumbaifor the promotions of my movies; unfortunately I’ve not been able to see it yet. I’m really looking forward to see the doll as soon as I get back.”

Katrina’s Barbie is a commemorative item and will not be available for sale.

I was offered Barbie four times

Aishwarya Rai at a recent watch promotion event revealed that she was the original choice for Barbie makers and not Katrina Kaif.

During the press conference when Aishwarya was asked by the media, how she felt about Katrina’s Barbies hitting the market in first week of December, Aishwarya immediately replied that she was the original choice for Barbie.

Aishwarya said,”I was asked by that brand (Barbie), not just now but, I think, since Miss World, then at the turn of millennium, then when my films were raging success after Canes and this year was the fourth time actually that I was requested byBarbie to walk the ramp on a particular day.”

“But I was a committed professional working with Vipul Shah and he needed my date on that day so I was unable to accept that offer to walk the ramp that particular day for them.”

Aishwarya Rai revealed that she did not regret not becoming a Barbie girl and wished Katrina Kaif good luck for her Barbies.

I will never work with Vivek

In a recent interview Katrina Kaif revealed that she would never with Vivek because what he did to Salman was very wrong.

Katrina said, “I understand, and I wouldn’t work with Vivek Oberoi. What he said and did with Salman was wrong. If somebody hasn’t done anything wrong, in my opinion, I’d still let them be colleagues with me. But what Vivek did was genuinely wrong. ”

She also agrees with Salman, who says marriage is a formality, talking about it Katrina says,“Indeed. Shaadi toh ek din mein hoti hai na, uske baad toh the same thing happens. So you better be enjoying what’s before the shaadi. Don’t think shaadi is a solution. ’Coz after the two-three days of partying – wohi same zindagi hai jaise shaadi ke pehle thi.”

She agrees with everything that Salman says.

Katrina Kaif says no to 2.5 crores

Saying no to 2.5 crore rupees is not an easy task, but Bollywood’s hot actress Katrina Kaif ignored the crores to be with her family.

Katrina was offered a whopping 2.5 crore rupees to perform at a five-star hotel for New Year bash. The sum offered to her is the highest offered to any actress in Bollywood, howeverKatrina did not take up the offer as she will be celebrating Christmas and New Year with her family in London.

Katrina says,“I’m heading to London to bring in Christmas and New Year with my mother, sisters and brothers. It’s an annual family ritual. And I wouldn’t like to break it for any amount of money in the world.”

Katrina nicknames Ranbir

Everyone in Kapoor khandaan has a nickname, the only exception being Ranbir, however Katrina has completed the Khandaan tradition by nicknaming Ranbir.

During a press conference, Ranbir said, Everyone has lovely names, but just look at the pet names in my family… Chimpu, Dabboo, Chintu, Lolo, Bebo… I’m happy that I don’t have one. I am plain, old Ranbir.”

Suddenly Katrina blurted out that Ranbir does have a nickname and she did the honor of nicknaming him.

She said, “Ranbir’s nick-name is ‘Puffin’. Puffin is the national bird of Iceland, and a distant relative of the penguin. The difference is that puffins are more colorful, they have puffier cheeks and colored beaks. So Ranbir is like a puffin. He’s like a colorful penguin, he has happy feet and on some days he can look really puffy.”

Shahid wants to act with Katrina

Katrina is the current hot actress in Bollywood and after her successful flick Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani,everyone wants to act with her and Shahid is no exception.

Shahid want’s his father Pankaj Kapoor to cast Katrina as the lead actress in his directorial debut Masoom, which incidentally was written for his ex-girlfriend Kareena.

However dad Pankaj Kapoor wants a fresh face for his directorial venture, but Shahid’s keen on Katrina.

Katrina-Ranbir ramp walk landed in controversy

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor walked the ramp in Delhi for designer Rohit Bal at the conclusion of the Couture Week in Delhi finishing it on style in a grand finale, Final Day WIFW 2009, New Delhi. This is also the first time that Ranbir and Katrina walked the ramp together. This show also gave Ranbir and Katrina a chance to promote their film, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

According to the sources, there was a small clash between bollywood heroes at the show. Arjun Rampal requested katrina to walk with him on the ramp. But, Katrina rejected that by saying she was there to promote her upcoming film with Ranbir. With this Arjun Rampal walked out of the fashion show. There was also a discussion on who would be show stoppers. Though Arjun and Dino Maria desired to be the show stoppers, but finally Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were the show stoppers.

Katrina Kaif was nervous earlier about her ramp walk with Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir advised Katrina not to get distracted with the incident and concentrate on the film promotion. Though it was done with the promotion of the movie in mind, it was a good attempt by both as they looked royal.

Katrina bani Sambo!

It is amusing to hear the happenings at the shooting… Working for several days together, the moviemates go into a casual mode. Names give way to nicknames.

And here is a latest one… This happened on the location of Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’. The shooting was on the roll in Goa where Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif had to get off from a jet ski onto a ladder hanging from a 200 ft overhead bridge. Sources on the spot said that Ranbir was amazed at the speed Katrina did the stunt, while he was struggling with the same.

The beauty surpassed Ranbir’s expectations much to the surprise of the actor. And so the actor went on to nickname Kat for this. “Katrina was so good in the action scenes that I actually named her ‘Rambo ki sister Sambo,” said Ranbir. “Ranbir was pleasantly surprised that Katrina is not a delicate beauty, but also a toughie when it comes to performing stunts.” sources added. Well, Ranbir, appearances are deceptive!

Katrina Kaif opposite Suriya?

Actor Suriya, who is shooting for ‘Singam’, is joining hands with director A R Murugadoss and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin again. Sources say that it will be a trilingual film (Tamil, Hindi and Telugu).

Buzz is that Katrina Kaif has been approached for the role. Suriya had favoured Harris Jayaraj to score music for all the three versions. Suriya, Murugadoss and Harris Jayaraj had teamed up to render a huge hit in ‘Ghajini’.

Suriya will also be acting in a Bollywood film ‘Rakta Charitra’, to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma. In Hari’s ‘Singam’, Suriya plays a straight-forward police officer Durai Singam who fights evil in society.

Katrina Kaif undergoes Lip Surgery?

The sizzling Katrina Kaif has been hogging the headlines for quite sometime now even though when she wasn’t active at the workplace since three weeks. The damsel has recently returned to the B-town after a long holiday from USA but there is something different about her appearance.

The sexy lass has returned with fuller and shapely lips which were earlier a bit puffy.
According to a source, “Katrina has always wanted shapelier lips. She recently returned from a long holiday of three weeks.
“During her trip to the USA for the Independence Day parade in Houston and Chicago, everyone first noticed the marked change in her appearance. Her lips were still puffy at the time, but now the swelling has vanished.”
But the actor rubbishes off any such rumor. She fumes, “It’s not true. I have not had any work done on my lips and to say that is ridiculous.”
A source close to her informed that Katrina is undergoing a skin treatment under Dr. Neena, a cosmetologist from Mumbai and has been taking a very strong medicine called Roaccutane for the last six months and will be under medication for another six months. The medication is so strong that it gives rise to swollen, dry and chapped lips, adds the source.
It seems Kat is controversy’s favourite child. In yet another storm, it was established that the sultry actress is not Katrina Kaif originally rather she is Katrina Turquotte.
Aysha Shroff who produced Kat’s first film ‘Boom’ revealed that her surname Kaif is entirely fictitious and it was made because her original sirname was tough to pronounce. It was also changed to mark her entry in Bollywood as a half-Indian actress.
