Shahid has changed for good says Ken Ghosh

Ken Ghosh who directed Shahid Kapoor in his debut film Ishq Vishq Pyar Vyar and directed his forthcoming film Chance Pe Dance, says Shahid has changed for good.

Ken admits Shahid was working on Chance Pe Dance simultaneously with Kaminey and Dil Bole Hadippa and there would be huge problems with dates.

“I’d ask for three days. He would have only one day to spare. I’d naturally be upset. Then understandably, Shahid wanted time off. He couldn’t be seen on my set straight after shooting for one of the other two films. This naturally led to heated arguments. For me as a director it was okay to come on the sets without sleep. But Shahid had to catch up on his resting time. Or the dark circles would have shown on camera. And since Shahid is fair-complexioned those dark circles would be even more visible,” says Ken.

Talking about how Shahid has improved as an actor Ken says, “Shahid’s dancing in Chance Pe Dance is the film’s mainstay. But his performance is not just about dancing. Some of the things he has done in the dramatic scenes took me by surprise. Shahid has brought subtle expressions into scenes which I didn’t catch while shooting. Only during editing I realized what he had done.”

Work stress makes Katrina unwell again!

Success doesn’t come easy. Katrina Kaif is working hard for it but at the expense of her health. She was quite unwell lately and when she got herself checked recently at a suburban hospital to discover a low haemoglobin count. But poor health doesnt keepKatrina from keeping her professional and personal committments.

A source reported, “On Sunday Katrina woke up unable to get out of bed. The worst blow to her frail energy level was the hectic wedding of Salman Khan’s close family-friend Krishan Narayan’s daughter whichKatrina attended for two consecutive nights on Friday and Saturday for the sangeet and wedding.

Forgetting her delicate health, Katrina had simply let herself go, dancing and having a good time.

A friend explained, “It was a commitment she couldn’t wriggle out of. The bride’s father, an associate of politician Praful Patel, is a very close friend of Salman Khan. AndKatrina who has always looked at Salman’s friends as her own, had to be there.”

The result of two consecutive nights of merry-making was a relapse. On Sunday Katrina had to undergo a series of complicated medical tests that went on the whole day

The friend continued, “Katrina’s haemoglobin count continues to plummet. The doctors are perplexed by this. They can’t figure out what is causing this abnormality in her blood. She has been prescribed complete bed rest.”

Poor Katrina… Perhaps Sallu Miyan should take a proactive step and take her off for a rejuvenating holiday!

Shah rukh khan’s sugary woes!

SRK is busy working on his next home production Ra1 and trying hard to get back his six-pack abs! Although he ate very little but he wasn’t losing weight!

A source reports, “He just couldn’t understand why, so he went to a nutritionist, who got him to write down his daily intake and they found the answer.

He used to have almost 20 cups of coffee everyday, which meant twenty spoons of sugar. Now Shah Rukh has his coffee black and no sugar.”

Hope his efforts are fruitful!

Neetu Chandra Fears Dying a Virgin!

Neetu Chandra failed to make a mark in B-town with her films but she is sure trying hard to be the talk of the town. Apparently she is mostly keeping home these days trying to shed weight and look good.

A source reports that Neetu often sighs, “I hope I dont die a virgin.”

Well, a good way to put across the point that she is a virgin… But we’re obviously not going to fall for it!

SRK is amongst the 500 most influential Muslims worldwide

SRK was recently listed amongst 500 most influential Muslims in the world. The list has been compiled by Georgetown University and also includes Indian Muslims like former president Abdul Kalam and Oscar winning composer A R Rahman.

SRK talks about being listed amongst 500 most influential Muslims and says, “I don’t think a list of this nature is of a competitive type to feel proud about. It’s not about a list of awards that I have won. I am a Muslim by birth and because of the kind of cinema I do, I assume must be influencing lives of people across the world. I have been actively working in the film industry for 18 years and my work has gone across the world, my films and done well in many places including Germany, Poland, Dubai, USA, Morocco and South East Asia. People know me well because of my films but I never felt that I was different. I’m in the field of mass communication and am doing my work. That’s it.”

When he was quizzed about the reason he has been chosen, he said, “I think it could be because of the kind of films I do. I try to do films that have variety and are about goodness and hope. They give a direction to a life. I have done films on romances to patriotic dramas like Chak De! and funny entertainers like Om Shanti Om — films that try to give a kind of positive message to people. I hope in this I am able to influence the lives of many, especially youngsters and children. It’s about giving some kind of direction to their lives. Like I might tell my children to study hard or teach them how to lead a good life.”

When asked who is the most influential person in the world, SRK said, “Like every movie star’s influence changes with every B-O release, I think even across the globe people’s influence changes. Today, there is not just one global influence but a collective of influences. I don’t believe the world can be run by oneinfluential person right now. The world has become too intelligent to be demarcated by one person. It’s the good thoughts of many. Like Bill Gates, Mukesh Ambani, Obama are veryinfluential and wonderful in their field of work but collectively, they are fantastic.”

Old Aamir has an accident

Aamir Khan was travelling as a old man in a auto-rickshaw when his auto collided with another auto-rickshaw.

A source says, “At around 5 am on Sunday, while returning from the Dasaswamedh Ghat where he had taken a boat ride, the auto ahead of Aamir’s rickshaw tilted due to the potholes on the road. To avoid a collision, Aamir’s rickshaw was forced to grind to a halt. Due to the impact, a co-passenger was hurt.”

Aamir’s spokesperson confirms the news, he says, “He was lucky to be saved. He did not sustain any injuries.”
The actor has been travelling in disguise as part of his marketing blitzkrieg for his forthcoming film 3 Idiots.
The publicist adds, “Two crew members of 3 Idiots are accompanying Aamir. One of them was badly injured and spent five hours receiving medical aid after which which he was discharged.”

Aamir is promoting 3 Idiots reality game and will be spotted throughout the country giving clues about his location. The winner of the game gets a chance to spend New Year with Aamir.

SRK always carries his witty jokes and liners with himself even to Arindam Chaudhari’s book launch. Arindam Chaudhari’s latest book Discover The Diamond, is inspired by the success of Big B, SRK and Rocky(Sylvester Stallone).

So when SRK came on stage, he said, “I was inspired by Rocky too. I wanted to be a porn star! (Sylvester started his acting career as a porn star). I’m going to work very hard, positively, and with clarity, to be a porn star. Main bhi Discover The Diamond in You padhoonga. Next time you hear about me, I’ll be the world’s biggest porn star.”

Then on a serious not SRK said, I believe success is a wonderful experience, but not always one from which we acquire wisdom or knowledge… which is why success, whether deserving or not, can be enjoyed, but not passed on.Success is never final, just like failure is never fatal!”

Emraan Hashmi join the six-pack league

Emraan Hashmi was always criticized for his extra flab, but now for his next flick Once Upon a Time in Mumbai he has toned his body.

Emraan says, “My role in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai demanded it. It’s not just about six-pack abs; my character had to look physically tough. That was one of the key requirements of the script.”

Director Luthria says, “Emraan has always been the underdog and his character is that of a rebel, a dark horse…styled on the lines of James Dean. I wanted to break his ‘Serial-Kisser’ image and add shock value to the film. I chose Emraan and them styled him this way as it was extremely difficult to find a youngster who, in levels of intensity, could be equal and the same time opposite to that of Ajay Devgn’s character”

Emraan trained under Praveen Tokas Angular training method to achieve the lean mean look.

Salman to do some KICKing with Deepika

Director of Ghajini, AR Murugadoss is ready to make another Telugu remake Kick, this time kicking Salman Khan will be kicking for the director. The leading lady opposite Sallu will be leggy lass Deepika Padukone.

Sajid Naidadwala who is producing the flick says, “Murugadoss I’ve met and Deepika of course is already my leading lady in Houseful. I loved Murugadoss’s work in Ghajini and so did Salman. We were very clear about not getting the original Telugu director as I don’t believe in letting the South Indian directors do the Hindi remakes.”

“I don’t want Kick to look like Wanted 2. We’ll be shooting the action scenes in Tokyo.”

Workaholic Big B dozes off

Amitabh Bachchan was at Chennai for recent fecilitation ceremony, prior to the ceremony exhausted Big B dozed off in the hotel and woke up disoriented.

Director of Paa, Balki who was accompanying Big B said, , “He was fine. He finally had some sleep. You’ve to understand that this is no ordinary human being. Amitji is a miracle. He can continue working non-stop without sleep. Last week, he was running around getting the premiere in place. Then on Friday morning he left to shoot for Bigg Boss without any sleep after the premiere. After shooting the entire day in Lonavla he attended the Bombay Times party and then on Saturday early morning he left for Chennai. At an age when a lot of us will be in a rocking chair he is still rocking.”

A friend of Big B says, “After two major health scares recently, Amitji has refused to slacken his pace. Except for the break he took to be with Amar Singh in Singapore earlier this year, he has been working round the clock.

Preity loves Kajol

Preity Zinta recently saw the rushes of Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan and can’t stop gushing about Kajol’s outstanding performance.

Preity says, “I saw some of the film’s (My Name Is Khan) footage and she is outstanding in it and so is Shahrukh and I think it will be great movie.”

“Look at Kajol. She goes and gets married, has a kid. She disappears for three years and she comes back does some thing like ‘My Name Is Khan’ and she is so good in the film. I can bet that none of the actresses can stand in front of her.”

Deepika launches Neutrogena fine fairness

After Katrina Kaif endorsing Olay fairnerss cream, Deepika Padukone too joins the bandwagon by becoming the ambassador for Neutrogena Fine Fairness cream.

Deepika believes that fairness creams help to even out the skin tone and reduces pigmentation caused by sun light.
