Jayam Ravi in Hollywood film

Hollywood actor Roland Kickinger donned the villain role in the film Peranmai. Roland who is a native of Austria is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 130 kilos.

He became a close friend of Jayam Ravi while shooting for the film Peranmai. Jayam Ravi had invited Roland to his house for dinner. Roland who accepted the invitation had the dinner at Jayam Ravi’s Ashok Nagar house in Chennai.

After the dinner was over and when Roland was about to take leave, Jayam Ravi gifted him with dhothi, shirt and valampuri sangu (conch). Roland who was surprised by these gifts asked him whether all of these were meant for him.
Then he appreciated Ravi for his talents and also told him that he had a physique that would be suitable for Hollywood films and asked him whether he was willing to act in a Hollywood film since one of his known director is in search of a new face. Jayam Ravi while thanking him for the offer said that he will think over about this.

Salman Khan, Jeyam Ravi refuse to act with Nayantara

Looks like Prabhu Deva has got himself drenched in troubles for recommending his close friend Nayantara in all his upcoming films . If what we heard from sources is believed to be true, then Salman Khan and Jeyam Ravi have strongly refused to pair up with Nayantara in the films Prabhu Deva is supposed to direct them.

Followed by grand success of Wanted, Salman Khan has shown keen interest in working with Prabhu Deva in another film titled Most Wanted. As well, Kalapathi S Agoram of AGS Entertainment has been discussing scripts with Prabhu Deva for a film featuring Jeyam Ravi in lead roles.

Now the latest buzz is that both the actors have strongly expressed their dislike about sharing screen space with Nayantara. As well, Jeyam Ravi seems to have requested that he’s ready to pair up with any actresses except Nayantara. He churned out his ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ and indeed has acquired rights over his ‘Thillalangadi’ (remake of Telugu movie ‘Kick’).After making high waves with his debut in Bollywood with ‘Wanted’, Prabhu Deva will now wield megaphone for ‘Jeyam’ Ravi’s film. As of now, nothing has been revealed more about the film’s theme or crewmembers. But one predict that it would be a commercial entertainer with the great combo involved with it.

Director S.P.Jananathan movies are known to the stories which closely given some social message to the audiences. Ayngaran International Peraanmai is the first movie to hit theatres on the day of lights. Actor remake Ravi all hit movies are copied or remake from other languages but this is the movie what Jayam Ravi is looking to boost his career.

Most often people doesn’t like the Quota system followed by Government of India but the movie suggests a Jayam Ravi a Forest Officer who appoints in a special Quota as his superior Ponvannan who belongs to a higher caste doesn’t give any opportunity to develop Jeyam Ravi to a higher position.With all difficulties surrounding Jayam Ravi played his role well as a NCC trainer as well as a part timer who educates children’s and adults of the forest. The movie is all about the five NCC girls bounded in dense forests with Jayam Ravi in action whose efforts to protect the nation from the International hands. Will Jayam Ravi and his NCC troops save the nation from shocking dangerous formsthe rest of the story?

Jayam Ravi for the first time his character is somewhat different from Telugu movies and may be this is for the first time he took efforts himself to do something new as he loses few pounds of his weight for the movie. More or less with the lead character Jayam Ravi does his part well.
The girls where portrayed by the Director with brilliance at the time when they do mischief and these sequences are made enjoyable to the audiences. The movie is slow in the first half as the girls hating Jayam Ravi but with the introduction of the foreigners the movies pace picked up in the second half. Those who watch the movie like “Jayhind” and other patriotic Tamil movies of this kind will hate watching the film as usual you can expect the sequences followed to it.

There is a sequence when Jayam Ravi handling all the latest weapons and its hard to believe as an ordinary NCC officer but he is someone exceptional. Director Jananathan may think this concept a decade older as there are plenty of movies came in the past. Music Director Vidyasagar who had a bad patch however manages some better scores for the movie. Altogether the movie has the strong technical support to help the screen movie till the end.

Ayngaran International with some flop movies like Ilayathalapathy Vijay “Villu” they may be in search of some hit movies. With least movies hits on theatres this Diwali Ayngaran International “Peraanmai” will be a strong contender for this festive season. With Jayam Ravi celebrating his Thala Deepavali and “Peraanmai” on the same day there are huge expectation for the movie among the audiences. Hope with other Diwali releases like ‘Aadhavan’ etc… there was an element of doubt whether ‘Peranmai’ do well in box offices. Prabhu Deva to direct Jayam Ravi

After his big Bollywood success through ‘Wanted’, Prabhu Deva who was expected to direct a Hindi film next has chosen Tamil.

The choreographer turned actor turned director will work in this one for Kalpathi Agoram’s AGS Entertainment. Sources had it that the official announcement of the project will be out soon.
Actually the project is suppose to have Vishal in the lead but, as the actor is roped in for Bala’s untitled project, ‘Jayam’ Ravi was fixed. Reliable sources say that we can see Ravi as a police trainee in this one.

Peraanmai gets clearance

The Jayam Ravi starrer Peraanmai is due to release for Deepavali this year. The team had been working hard to make it to the silver screens on time and has indeed succeeded.

Peraanmai, directed by Jananathan, went in to face the censor scissors and had come out with a U/A certificate. This film has five heroines Liasri, Dhansika, Maha, Saranya and Vasundhara and the Hollywood star Roland Kickinger.

Peraanmai, sources in Kollywood say, will bring out a new facet in Jayam Ravi’s career, as he will be seen in a full length action flick for the first time.

AGS Entertainment acquires ‘Thillalangadi’ and ‘Kandhakottai’

With the raging wars of bigwigs of Satellite Channels, Kalapathy S Agoram has his own way of striking gold as a producer. The producer who had earlier churned out ‘Thiruttu Payale’, ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ and recent release ‘Masilamani’ has been rights over many of upcoming projects.

The first ones to be included in his list are ‘Thillalangadi’ followed by ‘Kandhakottai’.
As known earlier, ‘Thillalangadi’ remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Kick’ is made by remake rajahs. As Agoram was much confident about the film’s success, he has bought the rights.
Nakulan-Poorna starrer ‘Kandhakottai’ has been taken over by the same producer. It’s notable that he had produced Nakulan’s previous film ‘Masilamani’.

Thillalangadi Movie Launch images first on net

‘Thillalangadi’, the Tamil remake version of the Telugu chartbuster ‘Kick’ was on floors this August 19th. This action-comedy will be directed by M. Raja, starring his brother Jayam Ravi, Tamannah in the lead and Shaam as the baddie.

The movie launch Pooja was taken place in AVM studio at 9.00a.m in the presence of Thiru. Rama Narayanan. The first scene was directed by Shankar while Illaya Thlapathi Vijay gave the first clap of the shoot. Actress Kushboo, Paruthiveeran Karthick, producers AVM Saravanan, Siva and Ramkumar among others attended the function

'I like actress Tamannah and I have seen all her films. I am happy to act with her. I admire her acting skills. She is sure to excel in her role in Thillalangadi', said Jayam Ravi. 'It is my fifth movie with my brother (Raja). We share a good rapport. I am confident that ‘Thillalangadi’ will become a big hit', he said.







Tamannah said, ' working for Jayam Company is a delight. I play a bubbly young girl in the movie. My co-stars Jayam Ravi and Shaam are nice to work with'.

Shaam, who played the same role in the Telugu original said, 'I have a great regard for Raja. When he approached me to do the role in Tamil, I had no hesitation in accepting it'.

‘Kick’ was a huge hit in Telugu. Raja is confident that like his previous films (which were Telugu remakes), ‘Thillalangadi’ too would make it big'. The movie is based on a guy who is mad about challenges and cannot breathe without getting a thump out of them. So, folks let’s wait for the kick of ‘Kick’! The movie has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
