Director Selvaraghavan thrown out of PUB

The Tamil director Selvaraghavan and his actress wife Sonia Agarwal got separated recently. Selvaraghavan got into an affair with Tamil playback singer, actress and model Andrea Jeremiah, who will be seen playing the lead in his upcoming film, Aayirathil Oruvan.Selva and Andrea are frequently going to the PUBs after completing shooting for the day.

During one such trip, Raghavan annoyed her by not dancing with her and also not allowing her to dance with others. Andrea got furious over him and she complained to the pub management and asked them to throw him out of the pub.

Selvaragavan - Sonia Agarwal file for divorce!

Now it is officially declared! It is none other than the news of Sonia Agarwal - Selvaragavan divorce. Both Sonia and Selvaragavan have filed their papers for divorce based on 'mutual consent' in the family court at Chennai Egmore court campus.

According to sources, the trouble began with the actress and singer Andrea's entry in Aayirathil Oruvan last year. Sonia alleged Selva that he was having an affair with the actress. Sources say that one day during the shooting of the film in Hyderabad, Sonia is reported to have barged into the sets and slapped Andrea in front of the crew.


Close friends and relatives, including Superstar Rajinikanth, tried to save the marriage, but it was too late as the relationship had hit a dead end. Sonia's re-entry as actress in TV shows and serials made the issue worse and forced them to live separately. Sonia was initially reluctant for a divorce, and tried for patch up. However finally she agreed for a 'divorce by mutual consent'.

Selva had first met Sonia in early 2002, when he signed her for his path breaking Kadhal Kondein, opposite his brother Dhanush. It was her debut film in Tamil and released on July 4, 2003 and went on to become a sensational super hit.

After nearly 4 years, both were married in style on December 15, 2006 at Rajah Muthiah Chettiyar Hall in Egmore, Chennai in the presence of 'Super star' Rajinikanth and attended by the who's who of Kollywood. Before getting married they were living together for nearly four years.
