TMS to sing for film again

The legendary playback singer T M Soundararajan, who recently came out of hospital bed, will lend his voice for a song in a new film. TMS told reporters in Madurai that he will be singing for the new Tamil film that would be made in Malaysia next month. On Sunday TMS took part in a light music concert at Gandhi Museum in the temple town of Madurai. “God and the prayers of fans helped me come out of the death bed,” he said while speaking to media there. When asked about remixing old Tamil film songs in new films, TMS said he appreciates remixing of old songs as the youngsters are doing it innovatively.

The 87-years old legend has over 10000 songs to his credit in a career spanning over six decades. After being the uncrowned king of play back singing for over 40 years he was seldom heard in films after the eighties. The last Tamil film TMS sung was ‘Gnana Paravai’ in 1991.
