Kamal haasan regrets for declining Quick Gun Murugan

Legendary actor Kamal Hassan regrets for declining the lead role in the film Quick Gun Murugan."I was initially offered the role. But I declined the offer as it was not a novel concept in South India. And I would rate the role in QGM as one of the biggest regrets of my life. I regret such situations as I could not make films that are close to his heart. Though some scripts are excellent they simply do not translate into a movie due to poor market demands. Over the years, I have liked many scripts but they just couldn't materialize into films. I feel sad that many times I couldn't do films due to market demands," finishes Kamal Hassan.

Rambha sharing cold vibes with Rajendra Prasad

I don't intend to spoil my happiness:Rajendra Prasad

Rajendra Prasad, King of Comedy, in an interview with mediapersons said that he does not intend to spoil his happiness by entering into politics. "I am very happy being an actor. Quick Gun Murugan - Picture Gallery

Quick Gun Murugun is a 2009 Indian film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and written by Rajesh Devraj. It is a western spoof with attitude, featuring outlandish songs, outrageous melodrama and crazy action sequences including a classic duel in a traffic jam.

The movie is based on a character created for television promos at the time of the launch of the music network Channel [V] in 1994. The character had a cult following, and made catchprases like 'Mind it' and 'We are like this only' popular. In recent years, the character has inspired a sequence from Om Shanti Om where Shah Rukh Khan does a take-off, incorporating elements of Tamil legend Rajinikanth's performances.

Quick Gun Murugan has been exhibited at the London Film Festival, the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, the New York Asian Film Festival and in The Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMa).

Plot

Quick Gun Murugun is an Unlikely Superhero (played by Rajendra Prasad) a South Indian cowboy whose duty is to protect the world against arch villain restaurant owner, Rice Plate Reddy, who wants to create the ultimate non-veg dosa! The movie revolves around adventures of Quick Gun Murugun along with his love to-be Mango Dolly (played by Rambha) and Locket Girl (played by Anu Menon). When faced with the grave problem, Quick Gun Murugun enters into an epic battle of that spans time and space, from a small South Indian village to an Indian heaven and then finally to a cosmopolitan Mumbai across 25 years.
