Manirathinam is directing the film Raavan in Tamil and Hindi languages. Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are acting in this film. Manirathinam is adapting Ramayana and has modified this film according to modern trends. Abhishek Bachchan is donning the role of Raavana in the Hindi version whereas Vikram is donning this role in Tamil.
Many actresses were approached to do the role of Raavana’s wife Mandodari. Nayanthara refused on the ground that she did not have call sheet. Sushmitha refused because Aishwarya was acting in this film. Now Bipasha Basu has been signed to do this role.
Bipasha will be appearing in this film for 40 minutes. She will be donning a different get up. She will participate in the shooting from September 15th. She will also do a glamorous dance for this film.
