Sameera Reddy made her debut in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya in 2002. She is famous for her role in Musafir. Asal is a forthcoming Tamil feature film for Sameera Reddy . Asal is directed by Saran and produced by Prabhu Ganesan and Ramkumar Ganesan of Sivaji Productions. The film stars Ajith Kumar in dual roles, along with Bhavana and Prabhu Ganesan to portray the film's lead roles. The film was launched in April 8, 2009 and the shooting for the film started in Malaysia on June 18, 2009. It will be the most expensive Ajith film ever made.The film has been slated to be released in November 27, 2009
