Its late, but not too late for Producers Assoction to come out with seventeen formulas to save ongoing loss and damages for Producers, which were failed to hit box office in recent days.
During a meeting of Karnataka Film Producers Association (KFPA) and Karnataka Film Directors Association (KFDA) in Bangalore, many suggestions came in to light to remediate regarding the recent damages faced by Kannada Film Industry.
For the same purpose a committee which was formed few week ago, proposed seventeen valuable formulas to avoid loss to producers, which included
- Film Shoot must be limited to a maximum of 50 days
- Film Negatives used should not exceed 50,000 feet.
- Allowances given to directors to be withdrawn.
- Lodging at the place where shooting takes place (in case of Outdoor shoot).
- Switching off the mobiles, while entering sets / shooting premises.
- To make a timely report of development stages of the film including both pre-production and post production.
- Director, to direct a movie should pocess KFDA membership - mandatory.
- Should have prior experience as Assistant Director in 5 films, and also should have to obtain certificate for the same from Directors Association.
These rules will be implemented from January 1st 2010. Committee president Rajendra Singh Babu, Board and Members of Karnataka Film Producers Association (KFPA) and Karnataka Film Directors Association (KFDA) were present in the meeting.
