Nickelodeon is encouraging children to dedicate less time to watching TV by going blank on November 7. The children's network has arranged a 10-hour play-a-thon at select locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Lucknow for children to take part in competitive sports and fun games.
Nickelodeon hopes children will jump on the bandwagon to participate in more sports and outdoor activities with this initiative.
Mother of two - a boy and a girl - Raveena Tandon was happy to show her support for the movement and showed everyone she's a good sport and that she's still a child at heart.
"When I was little, I played football with the boys down in the building and getting scratches and bruises were like badges of honour. That whole spirit of children coming back from school, getting together and playing games - outdoor activity - I find that missing in children of today and that realisation came when my children were born," says she.
Looks like Raveena has found herself a cause worthy of contribution.
