Finally the makers had decided to replace the role of Sher Khan played by Srihari in the Telugu version with a big hero in Tamil. Sources reveal that either Sarath Kumar or Arjun will be roped in for this role. Also, a separate comedy track featuring Vadivelu will be canned.
The film Magadheera will be dubbed in Tamil as Maaveeran, which is also the title of a popular yesteryear Rajnikanth film.But the Telugu version will not be released as it is in Tamil. They want to add some Tamil flavour to the movie by adding local star cast and reshoot certain portions of the movie. Though there were many offers to remake the film in Tamil including on with hero Ajith, the producers decided against it as they felt that recreating the grandeur and special effects would be an impossible task.
