It was grand launch for Vikram starrer Kanthaswamy at Devi Paradise theatre in Chennai on Sunday. The who's who of Kollywood gathered under one roof for the grand launch of the movie. The theatre was colorfully lit for the grand occasion and the cast and crew of Kanthaswamy including Vikram and Shriya were among those present on the occasion.
To coincide with the grand launch of the movie, the crew of Kanthaswamy announced taking two villages in Madurai district to render developmental activities. The two villages Sangampatti and Gandhi Nagar had lacked infra-structure facilities and the Kanthaswamy crew had been to the village and provided the welfare measures.
Speaking on the occasion, Susi Ganesan, who is directing the movie, said, "we have chosen to launch the movie in a unique way and in the presence of two villages, which are adopted by us. We have provided infra structure facilities including schools, roads and drinking water facilities for them. The movie dwells on the theme of developing the rural area".
Vikram appeared as Kanthaswamy on the dais and assured that he would strive for creating a equitable society. Speaking on the occasion, Vairamuthu expressed his admiration for such a grand launch. This is not a movie launch but a lesson for the entire film fraternity, he said. He said Vikram is a dedicated and the different getups suit him well. On his part, music composer Mani Sharma spoke about the efforts taken to churn the trailer.
The trailer screened on the occasion won the admiration of many. On his part producer Kalaipuli S Thanu thanked those involved in the movie for coming up with a big launch and expressed his confodence that the movie would shape up well. Among those present on the occasion included Film Chamber president KRG, directors Shankar, Kalaipuli G Sekaran, K S Ravikumar, actors Bharath and Arun Vijay. Thanks indiaglitz.com
