Sachin Tendulkar's 20-year-long fantastic innings in IC

New Delhi: Behind every successful man stands a woman. Make a little change in the adage and put it like "Behind every successful man stands a family'. The new adage proved true as the most successful batsman in cricket history Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who completed his 20 years in international cricket (IC) today, feels that family is his strength.

Behind the success of Sachin, his wife Anjali Tendulkar played a great role. Anjali gave up her flourishing career to keep Sachin away from family pressures. Shouldering all responsibilities, Anjali gave a pleasant atmosphere in home to Sachin so that he could concentrate on game.

But it was Anjali who could not recognise Sachin when she first came across Sachin at Mumbai airport in 1990.

Anjali said, “I didn't know who he is. Coincidently, we met." Five years after their meeting, Anjali tied the knot with Sachin in 1995. After the marriage Anjali became strength of Sachin.

Anjali gave up her medical practice for Sachin who considers his family as his source of inspiration and strength.
Anjali, who watches every innings of Sachin, says, "I watch the complete match. There is a special place in the house where I watch match on the TV. Simultaneously, I pray to Lord Ganpati. I don't take anything till Sachin plays."

"I neither attend phone nor reply to SMS. I don't move even a bit from my place,” says Anjali.

Sachin lives up to the expectations of millions of fans with the cooperation and strength he gets from his wife Anjali, son Arjun and daughter Sara.
