Here comes the most exciting news for all ardent fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay! The shooting for his upcoming Deepavali release Vettaikaran, being directed by debutant Babu Sivan (erstwhile associate of director Dharani) with Tollywood damsel Anushka as heroine, will be complete on September 15, followed by a song to be shot in foreign locations by October 1.
It has been revealed by close sources that Hansraj Saxena of Sun Pictures, the distributors of the film, has insisted the crew to complete the shooting soon, as they plan to release the film during Deepavali.
Accordingly, director Babu Sivan has created two separate film units, so that production works would be completed at ease without any delay. Due to this last-minute rush, the film’s audio launch has been postponed to next week.
The film has music by rock composer Vijay Antony. Cinematography is by Gopinath and editing is by V.T. Vijayan. After the disappointing run of his Kuruvi and Villu, Vijay has pinned his hopes on Vettaikkaaran, based on the story of an energetic young man and his angst against baddies in society. According to sources, Vijay plays an auto rickshaw driver who works hard to bring justice to innocent people.
