She visited the Arunachaleshwara temple in Thiruvannmalai, Tamilnadu along with her father to pray for the success of her forthcoming movie. She is said to have made Pradakshinas in the temple with slippers. The HMK alleged that she hurt the sentiments of Hindus by doing so. HMK chairman Sreedharan warned to stage a protest against her if she does not apologize for her careless act.
