Actor Prakash Raj is all set to bag the National award for the best actor for his performance in the Tamil film Kanchivaram.The story of the film is based on the tragic tale of the pre-Independence Indian silk weavers in Kanchivaram.
As per sources, Kanchivaram has also won the National award for the best film.The film casts Prakashraj, Shreya Reddy, Shammu and Jayakumar in the lead. The film is directed by Priyadarshan.
