Dhanush starrer ‘Maappilai’ that is supposed to take off by November has got a new producer now. Earlier, it was Nemikchand Jhabak who was supposed to produce this film and due to some constraints it has passed over to Vijaya Combines (earlier producer Dhanush’s ‘Padikadhavan’).
when approached the production team, there’s nothing much let out. As known earlier, ‘Maappilai’ is a remake of yesteryear blockbuster of Superstar Rajnikanth with the same title.
Tollywood’s hottie Hansika Motwani has been roped in for the female lead while yesteryear actress Sridevi is likely to be confirmed for the role of mother-in-law.
After the grandiloquent success of ‘Padikadhavan’, director Suraj is joining hands with Dhanush again. The film is slated for the release in summer 2010.
