Vikram speaking to the media revealed that he had a clash with Mallanna(Kandhasamy) director Susi Ganesan over the issue of directors turning out to be actors and also said that he insisted Susi never tread the actor's path and forsake his career as a director.
With the trend of directors and assistant directors turning to acting professional, Vikram, known to be a director's actor, has come down heavily on directors donning the greasepaint. Vikram said that with directors turning out to be actors there would be a dearth in good directors that an actor can rely on.
