Jab We Met remake Kanden Kadhalai has completed its first schedule and now, almost 50 per cent of the film has been shot in just 27 days. This is indeed a remarkable feat. The film was shot at Chengleput, Ooty, Coonoor, Pollachi, Tirumoorthy Dam and locations surrounding these areas. According to Tamannaah, 'Though it is a remake, we have added lot of newness to it during the shoot and these small changes are going to make the difference to the film. The two songs shot so far have come out better than the original'.
Adds Tamannaah: 'I quite enjoyed working in the film so far. Both Bharath and myself could bring in newer aspects to the film, thanks to Director Kannan's inputs and encouragement. I am looking forward to the next schedule.' According to Bharath, 'It is a wonderful team to work with. It is very exciting to be a part of the remake of the film, which was a Super Hit in Hindi last year. To replicate the film in the same way as it was made in Hindi is a challenge especially the nuances and the feelings of the characters.' Adds Bharath: 'Both Tamannaah and I are doing our best to live up the performances of Shahid and Kareena. I am very happy with the progress so far and waiting to complete the film soon and see it on the screen with the audience.' According to Kannan, the director: 'I am delighted with the homework that both Bharath and Tamannaah have done that made the task of shooting the film an easy one and it was a pleasure to watch their performances'. He adds: 'My job was made easier by the excellent and speedy camera work by P.G. Muthaiah and the entire Production team, which offered everything on time without any compromise'. Says Kannan: 'Though the entire schedule was on outdoor, the planning and coordination of the production team was so good that we could achieve what has been planned ahead of time and return. I have seen the rushes of the film and very happy with performances of the artistes. As a Director, I am happy that the film has come out very good so far.'
According to the producer of the film G. Dhananjayan, 'Kanden Kadhalai will be a different experience for Tamil audience as they would see a remake in Tamil with several interesting changes suiting the Tamil culture and the taste of Tamil audience.' Says Bhananjayan: ' I am happy with the fantastic work done by the Director Kannan, who could extract good performance from everyone who is a part of the film, which enabled timely completion of the first schedule'. |
